John,
Yesterday, a fifteen-year-old gunman killed five people and injured two in a shooting in Raleigh, NC. This is the deadliest of the 17 shootings in the state this year.
Unfortunately, this is not unique to North Carolina; this epidemic pervades our entire country. We witnessed tragedies in Highland Park, IL, Uvalde, TX, and Buffalo, NY this summer and the harsh truth is that no community is safe from gun violence – not until we finally take action to end this epidemic.

That’s why we can’t stop fighting, and we won’t. We honored victims and survivors of the summer’s tragedies by passing the first major piece of gun violence prevention legislation in decades in Congress, but more people shouldn’t have to die for us to create a country free from gun violence.

In the wake of yet another tragedy, we are calling on Congress to act, in honor of victims and survivors and to protect Americans. Please, can you speak out right now and show just how deeply we need change.

A nation free from gun violence is possible, and until it’s realized, we will remain resilient. Your support powers this movement and together, I know we can change this country and save communities from more tragedy.
