On November 8, voters will head to the polls to elect candidates to represent Tarrant County and Texas for the next four years. I am predicting a very positive turnout for Republican voters across Texas. One of the most important in Tarrant County is the County Judge.

The County Judge is in charge of the Commissioner's Court, and they approve the budget for the county government to run on a day-to-day basis. They also set your County and Hospital District tax rates.

One part of the Commissioner Court budget is for Public Safety. That includes the Sheriff’s Office, Constables, and District Attorney’s office. Our law enforcement agencies are working hard to keep us safe and our support.

We need someone who supports law enforcement in this position. We need a person who sees the dangers of fentanyl as it is flowing into our county, the increased crime we are facing, and the increase in human trafficking – much of which can be attributed to our open border. Judging by her past social media posts, I am guessing Deborah Peoples doesn't care about the continued funding of our law enforcement offices. 

In July 2020, Fort Worth held an election to increase funding for the Police Department. Peoples was against Prop A. She wanted to defund the Fort Worth Police. Fortunately, 64% of the citizens of Fort Worth did not agree with her. 

In 2021, Peoples ran against Mattie Parker. Again, Fort Worth voted against the ideas of Ms. Peoples, and she was soundly defeated by Parker.

She was wrong about defunding Law Enforcement.

Peoples shouldn’t be in charge of anything, much less the budget of Tarrant County.

If Fort Worth didn’t want her, why would Tarrant County? 

It’s time to come together: get all your friends, family, and neighbors and vote for Tim O’Hare for County Judge and send Peoples packing once and for all.
