Hi John, As affordable housing practitioners, we make it our business to continually analyze and improve the rights of tenants across California. Tenants of homes funded by the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), which funds nearly 380,000 safe, stable, and affordable homes in California, have limited protections, being exempt from many tenants’ rights laws including the California Tenant Protection Act (AB 1482). What can we do to improve the experience of these affordable housing tenants? Join the Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN) and an expert panel remotely on Wednesday, November 9 from 12:00PM – 1:00PM PT for Tenants Rights in Affordable Housing - Where Things Stand and What Can be Improved, as we get up-to-date on the experiences and challenges of LIHTC home residents and discuss how we can advocate for and protect these tenants. |
