My name is Hugo Soto-Martínez and I’m running for Los Angeles City Council, District 13. As an experienced labor organizer who was born and raised in South Central LA, I have the experience and passion to make our wonderful city greener, cleaner, and safer. My campaign is laser-focused on LA’s housing and homelessness crisis, which is why I’m proud to have the endorsement of Project ID Action Fund.

As you may know, it’s been quite a week for the LA City Council. With the clear systemic racism and corruption problems plaguing City Council, I quickly called for the resignation of the individuals involved, but I also recognized that won’t be enough. 

The whole reason I got into this race was because of entrenched politicians only looking out for themselves – and it’s time that we elect councilmembers who are for the people.

There’s less than a month until Election Day so these final weeks are crucial. Ballots are already being mailed to California voters. The deadline to register or update your registration is October 24th. 

With your support, we can win this seat and make a positive impact for all of us here in LA, including workers, immigrants, commuters, renters, and the unhoused. We still have many canvassing and phonebanking opportunities coming up and would love for you to join us.
