#LowcountryFirst Pass In Review | October 14, 2022 Another Beautiful Week in the Lowcountry! Happy Friday SC01! It’s been another gorgeous autumn week in the Lowcountry, bringing perfect weather for our Cocktails With Your Congresswoman events! Monday was Columbus Day, which means many of you had the day off! How did you spend your long weekend? On Tuesday, we hosted Cocktails With Your Congresswoman in Folly Beach. Just late last week, we met with Folly Beach city officials to assess the damage from Hurricane Ian and plans for renourishment. This cocktails event gave us the opportunity to update our constituents on our Hurricane Ian federal response. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us! Early Wednesday morning we joined Fox and Friends First to discuss a potential railway strike. To watch, look below for “In The News.” Wednesday was also National Farmers Day! We thank our farmers across South Carolina and our great nation for their dedication to putting food on our tables! Thursday was the U.S. Navy’s 247th birthday! Thank you to our sailors who have served our great nation’s waters! Also on Thursday, we all received terrible news - inflation was at 8.2%. It’s the same old story, another month and another concerning economic statistics. It is time Washington stops its one-party rule and we all work together to defeat inflation for the American people. Later on Thursday, we hosted another Cocktails With Your Congresswoman in Goose Creek! We had a great turnout this week and we thank everyone who came out, asked questions, and met our team.
