Hi
John,
On Tuesday, October 18th, we will gather to reflect on 20 years of Think Before You Pink® campaign actions and achievements.

Together, we will hear from featured guest Tiah Tomlin-Harris, see a look-back video on our industry-disrupting accomplishments, and remind ourselves how to Think Before You Pink® by the incomparable Blair Imani.

And I want you to join us! ([link removed])

Your participation will help energize the evening and elevate the program for a thought-provoking hour, and embolden our work as we take collective action!

Tiah Tomlin-Harris: Following a diagnosis of an aggressive form of breast cancer (or Can’t-cer as she calls it), Tiah vowed to help as many women as she could fight and survive breast cancer, particularly Black women, who are disproportionately impacted by this disease.

Tiah believed that no sister should walk this journey alone and founded the My Breast Years Ahead Sisterhood, a sisterhood of women survivors. Tiah has dedicated herself to being a change agent and a community advocate by increasing awareness, speaking out about prevention, encouraging people to take action for their health, and giving people hope.

Nationwide Virtual Event
We will also enjoy a critical take on pink ribbon marketing from Blair Imani in her viral series, SmarterInSeconds. She is the LA Times Bestselling author of Read This to Get Smarter, and Head of Education at Feminist for All. Her scholarship spans intersectionality, gender studies, race and racism, sociology, and United States history. Her work centers women and girls, global Black communities, and the LGBTQ+ community. As an educator, influencer, and semi-retired organizer, Blair Imani is dedicated to making the world less terrible and amplifying the voices and work of those fighting the good fight.

To cap it all off, The Sly Band will perform while our actions keep moving forward the work to address and end breast cancer. The Sly Band is an 11-piece, high-energy dance party band. Their set list is a diverse mix of pop, rock, R&B and classic songs for all ages. We are thrilled to have them help us celebrate an evening of Radical Disruption and Compassionate Resistance!
