MEDIA ADVISORY: Gov. Justice to visit Spring Mills Middle School on Monday to highlight progress of GameChanger Program

CHARLESTON, WV – Gov. Jim Justice will join GameChanger officials and staff and students at Spring Mills Middle School on Monday to highlight the progress of the GameChanger Initiative since its implementation at the beginning of the school year in August.

GameChanger is currently being implemented in 12 West Virginia pilot schools. The Program is the first of its kind on the nation and results from a service agreement between GameChanger and the world-renowned Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.

WHO: Governor and GameChanger Head Coach Jim Justice, GameChanger Executive Director Joe Boczek, GameChanger Director of Prevention Kim Legg, local officials.

WHAT: Visit with Spring Mills Middle School officials and sixth grade students to hear feedback and highlight the progress of the GameChanger Opioid and Substance Misuse Prevention Education Program.

WHEN: Monday, October 17, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
