Wednesday was a historic day for Colorado, folks.
On Wednesday, President Biden designated Camp Hale and the Tenmile Range as a national monument — the first of his presidency. Now, more than 53,000 acres of Colorado’s public lands will be permanently protected for my children and for yours.
Coloradans are committed to defending our state’s history and natural beauty, and that is especially true of Camp Hale, the iconic site where our World War II service members trained to fight, and later returned to found much of our ski industry.
For years, I worked alongside World War II veterans, their descendants, and local communities to get this done, and as their voice in the Senate, I called on President Biden to permanently protect Camp Hale and the Tenmile Range. Together, the people of Colorado delivered this win.
As long as I am Colorado’s Senator, you can count on me to fight for you and protect our state’s public lands.
That’s why I’m asking for your support in the upcoming election. Will you please chip in to keep me fighting for Colorado, Coloradans, and our veterans? Protecting Camp Hale is a historic achievement, but there is much more work to be done.
