Leora Levy Blasts Biden for Asking OPEC+ to Wait Until After the Election to Raise Gas Prices
GREENWICH, CT - Earlier this week, it was revealed that President Biden urged OPEC+ to wait until after the election to announce it would be limiting oil production by 2 million barrels a day and raise prices on consumers.
Political outsider and U.S. Senate candidate Leora Levy issued a statement on the unethical political maneuvering.
“This is outrageous and immoral, but unfortunately not surprising. DC insiders like Biden and Blumenthal will do and say anything to remain in power without a second thought to the American people. Instead of lowering energy prices by promoting American energy independence, Biden is engaging in backroom deals with despotic regimes, threatening our nation’s security and economy.
“Worse still, Blumenthal then tries to cover for Biden by introducing legislation that strengthens Iranian power in the Middle East while doing nothing to lower the price of energy for his constituents. The American people cannot afford Biden and Blumenthal’s political games any longer.”
