I lost the first election I ever ran in, John.

I worry that if folks are just looking at the news headlines, they’ll think we have this election in the bag. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Our internal polling shows that our race is tightening, and pundits call Senate control a toss-up. My last race was the closest in the country.

If we take our foot off the gas now, we’ll hand this seat – and the majority – to Mitch McConnell on a silver platter.

Our mid-month deadline is in less than 48 hours, and we urgently need to light a fire under folks for the home stretch. If we don’t, we’ll have to make budget cuts that very well could cost us this Senate seat.
