Hi Friend,
Special interest groups, including hospitals, are trying to block your access to your own pricing and medical information.
… Even going so far as to SUE the administration for trying to implement their price transparency rules for health care that would allow you to know the price of health care BEFORE receiving care.
Special interests should never supersede patient care. The healthcare system should support individuals over industry—and prioritize patient needs over special interests.
Stand up to special interests—and stand up for patients—by submitting comments in support of the administration’s new price transparency rules by 11:59 p.m. on January 14. ([link removed])
… This threat from special interests, like hospitals and industry groups, is a serious one.
They don’t want you to know how much your healthcare services are going to cost before you get care. They don’t want you to know the secret price exchange between insurance companies and healthcare providers. They don’t want you to be able to shop around for care that fits your healthcare needs and budget. And they don’t want you to have access to your personal healthcare records.
… But why? What are they trying to hide? Because keeping you in the dark keeps them flush with money from different reimbursement and markup games.
That’s what the administration’s latest price transparency rules would deliver to our healthcare system. But the administration is going up against some powerful special interests who will clearly stop at nothing to protect themselves.
Friend,
it's up to you to make sure the administration's new price transparency rules for our healthcare system really benefit patients—not special interests.
Speak up now: Support the administration’s new price transparency rules before the January 14th deadline. ([link removed])
Thanks for all you do,
Heather R. Higgins
