Team, it's Emma. I'm Brittany Pettersen's finance director I’ll get right to the point. In 48 hours, we are up against our mid-October fundraising deadline — the last deadline we face before ballots start hitting mailboxes. Whether we hit our goal in the next 48 hours — or fall short of reaching it — will determine how many doors we can knock on, how many GOTV reminders we can send to Democratic voters, and whether we can run TV ads in the critical final weeks of the race. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
If we get the resources we need before this critical deadline, here are some of the messages we’ll be able to get out to voters in this district: We’ll let voters know that Brittany supports the right to choose while her opponent applauded the overturning of Roe v. Wade. We’ll let voters know that Brittany’s opponent called the 2020 election “rigged,” “corrupted,” “undermined by fraud,” and “illegitimate.” We’ll let voters know about Brittany’s record of delivering meaningful results for Colorado families as a state legislator — including free preschool and kindergarten, lower health care costs, expanded mental health resources, and statewide protections of abortion rights. I wouldn’t be reaching out if I didn’t wholeheartedly believe this, Team: Our ability to let voters know these key differences between Brittany and her opponent is the difference between victory and defeat in this district. And with the stakes this high, losing simply isn’t an option. Thank you, Emma Howard
