Friend, please take this to heart:

I will never stop standing up to Donald Trump and his extremist GOP allies like Mitch McConnell. I will never stop fighting against their dangerous agenda, which would undermine our fundamental rights – from voting to bodily autonomy – while letting gun violence and climate change run amok.

But my vocal opposition to the GOP’s agenda has made me a target for defeat. Just recently, a right-wing super PAC aligned with my opponent started flooding the airwaves with false and misleading attacks against me.

It hasn’t stopped there. Next week Donald Trump is holding a fundraiser for my opponent at Mar-a-Lago. The Senate GOP campaign chair and right-wing extremist Senator Rick Scott attended a Connecticut megadonor fundraiser for my opponent as well. National Republicans are working in unison, funneling major resources into this state to defeat me.

We cannot let them succeed. Remember, Mitch McConnell only needs to flip one seat to take back Senate control. That’s why I’ve set an urgent new goal to raise $50,000 in the next 48 hours to protect this seat.

This seat is must-win and this goal is can’t-miss – there is simply too much at stake. So please, Friend, if you care about Democratic Senate control like I know you do, then chip in $5 or whatever you can spare to help me hit this goal and protect this seat.

With attacks against me mounting, this is truly where our grassroots campaign must take action like never before. Thanks for doing your part.
