Here's the truth, John —
Democrats need to keep control of the House and Senate this midterm
election.

I could say I'm surprised, but that would be a lie. This is the same
fearmongering used again and again against Cori by the far-right media and
Fox News.

Just last week, Fox News was spewing misinformation and hatred about
Cori's steadfast belief that we must defund the police. But the truth is
their inflammatory language is dangerous — dangerous to politicians and
activists like Cori and dangerous to our democracy — and we see right
through it.

fearmongering or Fox News misinformation is going to stop our critical

Keeping control of Congress is critical to pushing our agenda forward.
Voters gave us a mandate in 2020 to deliver policies that center the needs
of everyday people — but without the House and Senate majorities, we can
say goodbye to progress expanding health care, transforming our
criminal-legal system, and investing in climate justice.

Not only that, but with Republicans in control, they will vote and PASS a
national abortion ban, legislation limiting LGBTQIA+ rights, and more.
Senator Lindsey Graham has already introduced an abortion ban in the
Senate — and we need to take Republicans at their word.
