Great news! Thanks to generosity from supporters like you, we just reached an $18,000 matching gift challenge to support our LGBTQ health programming, which will go a long way toward a strong start in 2020.

Now, another generous donor has dug deep and pledged a new end-of-year challenge for our Southern Equality Fund: They will match every dollar donated (up to $5,000) before the clock strikes midnight on December 31!

I am so excited about what we’ve got planned in 2020! We’re preparing to reopen the Southern Equality Fund and support grassroots LGBTQ groups creating change across the South. We’ve been helping to coordinate a coalition of organizations and activists in South Carolina to defeat dangerous legislation that targets transgender young people. We’re going to register more voters than ever before in the lead-up to one of the most important elections of our time. And we’re releasing new data from the Southern LGBTQ Health Survey to keep a bright spotlight on the unique health needs and experiences of LGBTQ Southerners.

That’s just a fraction of the work that our team will lead on in the new year. You can rest assured that we’ll stretch every single penny of your donation to make as much impact as possible.
