The ZOA rarely gives its Theodor Herzl Medallion and has presented it to renowned world leaders and dignitaries like Lord Balfour, Winston Churchill, Harry Truman, David Ben Gurion, Golda Meir, Menachem Begin, and Sheldon G. Adelson.

ZOA fights for the safety and security of Jews, Israel and combats antisemitism. ZOA is thus honored to announce that we will be honoring and thanking President Donald J. Trump for being the best friend Israel ever had in the White House.

President Trump: • forged the historic Abraham Accords which established peace between Israel and Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Sudan; • brokered an additional groundbreaking memorandum of understanding with Bahrain to eradicate antisemitism and promote respect and co-existence between the Arab and Jewish people; • relocated the U.S. Embassy to Israel’s eternal capital Jerusalem; • issued an Executive Order strengthening Title VI of the Civil Rights Act to protect Jewish students from harassment and discrimination on American college campuses; • recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights; • ended the dangerous Iran deal; • imposed maximum sanctions on Iran which reduced Iran’s funding of terror proxies Hezbollah and Hamas; • stopped U.S. funding of the Palestinian Authority regime because the PA continues to pay Arab terrorists lifetime pensions to murder Jews; • stopped funding UNRWA because UNRWA continues to teach Arab children to hate and harm Israel and Jews; • recognized that Jewish communities in Judea/Samaria are legal; • resigned from the UNHRC because the UNHRC continued to focus on falsely attacking Israel• signed U.S.-Israeli scientific, industrial and agricultural research cooperation agreements enabling joint projects in Judea/Samaria and the Golan Heights; • reversed discriminatory labeling regulations that had facilitated boycotts against Israeli products made in Judea-Samaria; • took action against the International Criminal Court’s unlawful investigation of Israel, including sanctioning ICC personnel and closing the PLO Washington DC office for prompting the illegal ICC investigation; • allowed Americans born in Jerusalem to list “Israel” on their passports; • attempted, when Trump was President-elect, to stop the prior administration from passing anti-Israel UN Security Council resolutions; • deported the last known Nazi war criminal in the United States after years of U.S. inaction; • appointed the greatest friends of Israel to important posts affecting US-Israel relations; • and was the first U.S. president to pray at the holy Western Wall in Jerusalem. 

Founded in 1897, ZOA played a key role in the Jewish State's re-establishment. Today, ZOA is the leading major American Jewish organization courageously defending Israel and the Jewish people; fighting against all forms of antisemitism, including anti-Jewish boycotts; and promoting the Jewish people's lawful right to live in and settle historic Jewish lands. ZOA exposes that a Palestinian state would endanger Israel's existence; presents the facts about the Arab/Islamic war against Israel; and combats the anti-Israel lie that Israel is an "occupier" of her own land. ZOA spearheaded long battles to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, and apply civil rights protections to Jewish students. ZOA provides free legal assistance and programs to pro-Israel students at numerous college campuses. ZOA's bold, unapologetic voice has a significant impact on public discourse and policy.
