The association is urging credit unions to use NAFCU’s Grassroots Actions Center to speak out against the Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA) by sending a message to their lawmakers urging them to oppose the harmful legislation. NAFCU also encourages credit unions to share a statement that the association can publicly use with media, members of Congress, and others to oppose this bad policy.
On a seasonally-adjusted basis, overall consumer prices rose 0.4 percent in September, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting that the overall consumer price index (CPI) grew by 8.2 percent year-over-year. The NCUA Board next week will receive a briefing on cybersecurity and the Central Liquidity Fund (CLF). NAFCU, along with several trade groups, last month wrote to the Senate Armed Services Committee, sharing support for the Central Liquidity Facility Enhancement Act which would make the provisions in the CARES Act related to CLF permanent.
