World Diabetes day is coming, John |
And this year we need your help to #RewriteTheStory for everyone living with diabetes – and for everyone who will be diagnosed in the future.  There are lots of different ways you can get involved for World Diabetes Day – including our Nailing Diabetes challenge! Join us in painting your nails blue on 14 November to raise awareness and show other people living with diabetes they’re not alone. |

Looking after your heart health |
We’re excited to share that we’ve been shortlisted to be the National Charity Partner of Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide. And if we’re successful, we’ll be working together to support millions of people to reduce their risk of both type 2 diabetes and heart disease. But we need your help to make this happen. |
|
Be sure to book your booster |
The arrival of cooler days can mean only one thing – it’s time to get your autumn coronavirus booster. Anyone in England over the age of 5 who is living with or caring for someone with diabetes can book their booster through the NHS website. In other parts of the UK, you’ll be contacted and invited to book your booster. |

Our free understanding your risk booklet is here to help you to understand the different risk factors for type 2 diabetes and give you practical advice and tips on what you can do to reduce your risk. We've got information about diet, physical activity and weight that can help you to reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes. |

What drives Ed's research? |
Ed is a Research Associate within the Department of Diabetes at King’s College London. Ed's decision to go into research was motivated by his dad's experience of type 2 diabetes as well as his understanding of the way type 2 disproportionately affects young people in developing countries. |
