Does this pass the pub test?



Mind-boggling news stories never seem to end and this week I've got more!



I don't think they'd pass the pub test but I'll let you be the judge. Before we raise an eyebrow in disbelief at more decisions that make us think, "Why on earth would you do that", let's talk about having the guts not only to say what you're thinking but to do what others won't. 



One Nation's Mark Latham has said eight years is too long to be in parliament without facing the public at the voting booths. This is why he's decided to quit parliament ahead of the NSW state election and re-run, even though he has four years left of his term. A big call that no doubt will pay off.



Now moving on to a story that definitely doesn't pass the pub test, in the face of a GP shortage, NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard has made a reckless call to fast-track overseas doctors by lowering entry standards. Personally, the last thing I'd want is an incompetent doctor in my time of need who may not even be proficient in English!



As if potentially paying for a GP who doesn't know what they're doing isn't scary enough, predictions of a 35% increase in power prices next year are threatening us and our businesses once again. Energy is a big issue and something we all should stay updated on, check the article out below.
