John,

I’m going to get personal with you in this email today, and I hope you’ll read it from start to finish.

But first, I do need to respectfully ask that you pitch in $5 or more to our campaign today. We’re up against a lot of negative attacks right now, and we could use your help to set the record straight with voters. ([link removed])

John, I’m running for Congress to fight for working-class neighborhoods like the one that raised me in Endicott, Broome County. Not the special interests or Wall Street or corporate PACs – who have been corrupting our politics and selling us out for decades.

My family came to the Southern Tier over 100 years ago – working in the local factories where you didn’t need a college degree, just a strong work ethic and respect for your neighbors.

Over time growing up, I saw these good blue-collar jobs leave our town and head overseas where the labor was cheap, and the environment was exploited. It was clear that it was the result of greed in our economy and corruption in our politics.

So I became an attorney to fight back and stand up for working-class neighborhoods like the one I grew up in.

In my first case out of law school, I sued the Florida government (before it was popular), arguing that health care should be a civil right, no matter a family’s income.

In the Senate, I took on greedy cable companies looking to execute a merger that would raise costs for families.

In federal court, I argued in favor of ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment, and in the Supreme Court, I challenged the Trump Administration’s discriminatory Muslim Ban.

Now, I’m running for Congress to fight for my hometown and others across our district who have been sold out by career politicians like Marc Molinaro.

The good news is that our message is resonating with voters across our 11 counties. But the bad news is that Molinaro’s Super PAC allies just added another $2 million to attack me with baseless lies and try and flip this seat red.

We can’t let it happen, John. That’s why even though I hate asking for money, I’m urging you to pitch in $5, $10, or whatever you can spare today to help us win this race. We only have 26 days left, and every dollar makes a difference >> ([link removed])
