It’s no surprise that the rampant corruption and petty partisanship in Washington has inspired a new class of veterans who love our country to run for office.
While serving in our military, each of us took an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”—and that’s not something that you just switch off when you step out of uniform.
Service is about putting others over self. That seems too easily forgotten by some folks in the Senate these days.
