Over twenty years ago, I cast the sole vote against the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) — a blank check to deploy US military personnel anywhere in the world.

Standing on my own wasn’t easy, but I have always held firm on our grassroots movement’s shared values — and my fight to stop endless wars beyond the scope that Congress initially intended continues today.
