Alek still doesn't get it, John.
First, the news broke:
The article details how Alek Skarlatos joked about choking women to death during sex, and that he repeatedly "liked" posts from teenage girls in bikinis on Instagram.
We pointed out that a man who wants to harm and control women can't be trusted to make decisions about our bodies and our freedoms. (We even made a video about it. You can click here to watch it.)
Well, this week Alek finally decided to respond.
You know what he calls all of his dangerous, disgusting behavior?
"A dumb mistake."
I'm sorry, but joking about sexual violence is more than "a dumb mistake." Interacting with posts by underage girls on social media is more than "a dumb mistake."
You know what the REAL mistake would be, John? Letting Alek Skarlatos anywhere near Congress.
