Leora Levy Offers Statement to Law Enforcement After Two Officers Killed in Ambush

GREENWICH, CT - Two police officers were killed and a third is currently in critical condition after being ambushed while responding to a domestic violence call in Bristol late last night.

Standing by Connecticut law enforcement officers during this difficult time, U.S. Senate candidate Leora Levy offered a statement.

I am horrified by the shooting of the three police officers last night and am praying for the officer who is fighting for his life. I send my prayers to the families of the officers who have been killed and to the residents of Bristol. My heart is breaking for our brave members of law enforcement throughout Connecticut.

These men gave their lives in the line of duty and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

I will always stand by our dedicated men and women in blue and against the radicals who vilify their noble profession. The anti-police climate in our state is a direct result of out-of-touch Democrats, including my opponent, supporting the misleadingly named Police Accountability Law. Police keep our communities safe, and I am grateful for their service and dedication. I will always have their backs.

About Leora

I am running to take on the far-left whose policies will make our country look more like the Communist Cuba my family and I escaped in 1960 than the United States we have all known and loved. I am running for Senate to lead the fight for freedom. Joe Biden isn't on the ballot in November, but his policies are. The way to beat back Biden is to beat Dick Blumenthal, and I am the political outsider who can get it done.
