John, Kevin McCarthy is dangerous. We have to do everything we can to prevent him from becoming Speaker of the House.

Kevin McCarthy has said outright that he would support a national abortion ban — and his Republican colleagues have said they feel confident it would pass the House with a Republican majority. 

Stripping away a woman’s fundamental right to control what she does with her own body has been the right’s plan all along, and now that the illegitimate, ultra-conservative Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the door’s wide open for them to make it happen. 

So let me be clear: We are not overreacting.

This is serious, and it’s urgent. We need all hands on deck to protect our Democratic House majority and stop Kevin McCarthy in his tracks. So I’m personally asking you to pitch in whatever you can to power our work in these critical final weeks before the midterms:
