“It appears that there will be at least five GOP-held seats in play, with a chance that Democrats could add one or two more. This puts Democrats in a position to win the majority.”

It's official, John. The U.S. Senate majority is in play for 2020.

Here’s the breakdown: Democrats only need to take back four Republican seats in order to flip the Senate. According to Cook Political Report, there are now five red seats in play for us to win, including South Carolina and Maine where DFA-endorsed Jaime Harrison and Betsy Sweet are putting up grassroots-fueled fights.

Flipping the Senate isn’t a crazy long-shot, but it is going to be tough. Mitch McConnell and far-right super PACs have already amassed a $190 million war chest to defend their vulnerable seats and to even try to flip some from blue to red. We can’t let them succeed.

It’s going to take a massive grassroots effort to go up against the GOP next year, and once we reach our final FEC fundraising deadline on December 31st, our numbers will go public for all to see, letting McConnell and our Republican opponents see whether or not we’re in a strong position to take them on in 2020.

With just four days left until our last fundraising deadline of the year at midnight on Tuesday, will you rush a contribution of $5 or more right now to show the country that progressive Democrats are ready to flip the Senate next November?

Thanks for fueling our fight to flip the Senate,
