Folks, please don’t scroll away from this message. I know you keep hearing it – this is the most important election of our lifetimes – but I hope that you’ll spare me just one moment to explain exactly what this moment means for our Congressional Democrats.

On Election night two years ago, Donald Trump announced his victory despite an incomplete voting count, claiming the election was only legitimate if it was in his favor. Since then, his words have set into motion Republicans’ continued plan to disenfranchise voters and ignore the will of the people, leaving us to suffer the consequences.

Now, Republicans are doing everything they can to seal the deal on their destructive policies, robbing Americans of the relief they’ve voted for time and time again, all while reaping the benefits of Democrats’ hard work. We have to stand up and stop this!

Team, it’s time for us to take action and bring this awful pattern to an end, but we cannot do it alone. With less than 4 weeks until Election Day, we can’t afford to waste any time. Congressional Republicans are doing everything in their power (and spending every dollar they earn) to do irreparable damage to the American people and we can’t stand by and let it happen.

Maintaining our momentum is crucial, but with a really slow start to fundraising this month, we’re not in the best position to keep things going the way we’d hoped. We have to play catch up. Otherwise, we risk giving Republicans a sizable lead and putting Lisa’s seat in jeopardy. Our nation will feel the impact of this election long after November 8th so we have to do whatever it takes to make sure Democrats come out on top.
