I cannot believe it has been almost a year since Jahana was sworn into office. What a year it has been...

What has made me most proud this year is seeing Jahana lead and legislate with the same heart, courage of conviction, and integrity that founded her campaign. While campaigning in 2018, Jahana promised to be a voice for everyone , and she has done just that.

From fighting for better education for every student to advocating for more affordable health care, Jahana has taken your stories, your experiences, your concerns, and put them front and center in Washington this year. I know – firsthand – that she leads with her conscience.

Now, as we head into 2020, we are gearing up for full blown battle to keep Jahana in Congress. Her district is split 50/50 between Democrats and Republicans, so Republicans see Jahana’s seat as their only chance for a federal seat in Connecticut – and they are going to put all they have into winning it back.
