I’m the son of a postal worker and a heavy equipment operator, but you might know me better as Captain Raymond Holt in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Today, I want to talk to you a little more about why I’m getting involved in this election (I’m supporting Maggie Hassan) and a little less about sitcoms.

My parents were hard workers. They clocked long hours for tough wages, but they did everything they could to make sure my siblings and I grew up with more opportunities than they had.

I think our government should be like my parents, but these days, it feels like Republicans are working to make it harder – not easier – for kids from families like mine to get ahead. They’re fighting for policies that leave hardworking families behind.

I’m emailing because Democrats currently have a very slim majority in the Senate. Maggie Hassan won her last race by the narrowest margin in the country. If she loses this November, it’ll greenlight Republicans to roll back the clock on opportunities for hard working people like my folks, and like you.

Will you please rush $3 to her reelection campaign right now? Maggie is a fighter for Granite State families and with the Supreme Court slashing the fundamental rights that give all Americans a fair chance, we HAVE to make sure she’s reelected.

Pundits say she’s the most vulnerable Senator up for reelection, so please, anything you can give right now - before the mid-month deadline – helps.
