Tonight I am facing Ron Johnson in our final debate, and I would like to
tell you why I need a lot of donations before I take the debate stage this
evening -- even from people who have already contributed.
Here's the truth: From the moment I launched this campaign, I knew that
we'd need a lot of people making small contributions in order to keep up
with Ron Johnson's corporate PAC money and right-wing mega-donors.
I'm very proud of what we've accomplished together. Tens of thousands of
PCCC members -- and hundreds of thousands of grassroots supporters across
the country -- have come together to help fund this campaign, and that
support means the world to me.
I wish I didn't have to ask you to [ [link removed] ]chip in today, but that's what I
need to do if we're going to have the resources to flip Wisconsin's Senate
seat and defeat Ron Johnson.
So before tonight's debate begins, I am looking for a large number of
donations to send a powerful message about the grassroots strength of this
campaign.
[ [link removed] ]Can I count on you to add a contribution before tonight's debate? If
you can do it today, you will help ensure we have the resources to win
while sending an unmistakable message about the strength of our campaign
before tonight's debate.
The weeks ahead will not be easy. So far Republicans have spent $31
million on attack ads against me, and that doesn't even count the ads
they're running to try to prop up Ron Johnson.
They've seen all the latest polls that show this race is a statistical
tie. And they know that if Ron Johnson wins re-election in Wisconsin,
Republicans are essentially guaranteed to regain the Senate majority.
So I need your help. Especially before tonight's debate. Because lots of
grassroots donations is the only way we will have the resources required
to flip this seat.
That's why I am asking one more time:
[ [link removed] ]Even if you've donated already, will you chip in before tonight's
debate begins? This debate is a big deal for our campaign, and every
donation helps put us in a position to flip this seat.
When I’m on stage debating Ron Johnson tonight, I’ll be thinking of the
PCCC members across Wisconsin and the nation who have made over 10,000
contributions totalling hundreds of thousands of dollars to my Senate
campaign. Let's keep the momentum going -- and send Ron Johnson packing
together.
All my best,
Mandela
