Day one of our listening tour across South Texas is over. There’s a lot more to come, but I wanted to share a few of the highlights.

We took a big risk by launching this tour instead of focusing my time on raising money before the FEC deadline. We believe that meeting with our community and doing this kind of grassroots campaign is critical to our strategy.

But with the primary quickly approaching, we still need to make sure we have the resources to compete with all of Henry Cuellar’s corporate PAC money.

Right now, we’re still a good bit away from hitting our deadline goal, but I’m trusting that this grassroots team can get us there.
