RuPumpkin Drag Race

When: Thursday, October 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Where: The Midlands Beer Garden

What: Come out to The Midlands Beer Garden for the fourth annual RuPumpkin! Dress a pumpkin in drag and support LGBTQ+ youth in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. All proceeds from the event go to SMYAL to support their work with LGBTQ+ youth in the DMV

** GLASS STAFF SPOTLIGHTS
------------------------------------------------------------

Micah Escobedo works in Sen. Bob Casey’s office (D-PA), where he’s served as Digital Manager since March 2021. Prior to that role, he worked as a digital strategist at New Blue Interactive and managed digital media for a program in the U.S. Department of Commerce. A native of California, he enjoys dry red wines, PBS documentaries, and wearing jeans in the office.

Cameron ‘Cam’ Smith (She/Her) is a Legislative Correspondent for Senator Blumenthal (D-CT) covering Defense, Foreign Policy, and Veterans’ issues. Her areas of interest include disinformation/cyberwarfare and human rights issues. Cameron is also a Fulbright Scholar (Berlin, Germany) and is earning her Masters of Security Studies (SSP) with Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS) concentrating on technology and security. In her free time, she plays French horn with the Georgetown Orchestra, powerlifts, and loves hanging out with her fellow GLASS Members!
