My Extremist Republican Opponent, Rep Andrew Clyde Votes Against Veterans, Again.
Don’t let Republicans tell you that they support Veterans because time and again, they vote against our Veterans. On Sept 30, 2022 here they go again. Forty-nine Republicans in US Congress voted against good, simple, common sense legislation to help provide food security for our Veterans, a chronic problem for homeless, disabled and unemployed Veterans across the nation and here in Georgia.
This simple bill, introduced by newly-elected Democratic Congresswoman, Rep Mary Peltola of Alaska, should have had unanimous, bipartisan support in the US House of Representatives. (The bill has yet to be voted on in the US Senate, we will see how Republicans vote there. We have every confidence that our two Democratic Georgia Senators, Ossoff and Warnock, will do us all proud and vote “yes” and a strong probability that a radical Republican “Senator Herschel Walker” would vote “No”. Please folks, vote to return Senator Warnock to the US Senate.)
It’s infuriating that 49 Republican voted against this bill and six of those Republicans who betrayed our Veterans represent Georgia, including my opponent, Rep Clyde.
What kind of heartless person votes “NO” to helping homeless and disabled Veterans have access to food? What kind of people re-elect those leaders?
The six Georgia Republicans who voted NO to our Veterans are:
Rep Rick Allen (GA-12) voted NO
Rep Andrew Clyde (GA-09) voted NO
Rep Drew Ferguson (GA-13) voted NO
Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) voted NO
Rep Jody Hice (GA-10) voted NO
Rep Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) voted NO
Folks, it’s time to vote out Republicans, not just in GA-09 but in every district.
