We’re so excited to announce that our team will be speaking at the inaugural Animal and Vegan Advocacy (AVA) Summit ([link removed]) from October 20 - 23 in Alexandria, VA. Animal Outlook is a sponsor and an exhibitor, and four members of the Animal Outlook team will be presenting. We'd love for you to join us ([link removed]) in showing your support.
Director of Farm Transitions Dr. T.J. Bradford will be discussing his work in sessions titled “Plant-Based Interventions to Shift Industrial Norms” and “Just Food and Farmer Transitioning.” With a PhD in Agricultural Sciences, and being a fifth generation farmer from Mississippi, T.J. is the perfect person to be leading Animal Outlook’s newest program, Farm Transitions, which works with farmers to provide them with support to transition from animal farming to farming plants.
Senior Director of Legal Advocacy Piper Hoffman will be discussing Animal Outlook’s legal work in a session titled “Litigating Against Animal Abusers.” Piper has over 20 years of legal experience and is an adjunct professor of Animal Law at New York University Law School. Piper’s work for animals goes back to her student days at Harvard Law School where she led a successful campaign for the school to begin teaching Animal Law.

Erin Wing, a former undercover investigator and now Deputy Director of Investigations, has seen first hand the cruelty inflicted on farmed animals. She’ll be sharing her experience, and providing insight in how to handle trauma in her session titled “Lessons in Trauma Resilience from an Investigator.”
Warren Egersheim, our Gifts and Grants Officer, has worked to help animals for almost a decade and will be presenting at the session “Brilliant Organizational Ideas,” where he’ll be talking about “Rethinking Animal Rights Audiences.”
Not only is this an opportunity to hear more about Animal Outlook’s work, it’s also a chance to hear from over 80 speakers from more than 25 countries. The AVA Summit organizers say “The AVA Summit will be a place to connect in community, to gather together with others who are passionate about saving the planet while creating lasting change for animals and our food system. We will discover tangible, modern ways of doing that work, together.”

We can’t wait to hear our team members speak and we look forward to connecting with hundreds of others who want to create a better tomorrow for all animals. Will we see you there? For more information and to register, click here ([link removed]) .
