Ripon Society Holds Discussion with the Executive Directors of the NRCC & NRSC
[1]
WASHINGTON, DC — With the mid-term election less than a month away, The Ripon Society held a luncheon discussion yesterday afternoon with two strategists who are leading the effort to help the GOP win back control of Congress.
The strategists were Jackie Schutz Zeckman, who serves as the Executive Director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and John Billings, who serves as the Executive Director of the National Republican Congressional Committee. In their presentation, the pair outlined the key House and Senate races that will determine whether Republicans take back control in each respective chamber.
“This is shaping up to be one of the most critical mid-terms in recent memory,” stated Jim Conzelman, the President and CEO of The Ripon Society. “Americans everywhere are feeling the brunt of rising costs and seeing their neighborhoods become increasingly dangerous. We appreciate Jackie and John for joining us yesterday afternoon to talk not only about these and other pressing challenges facing the country, but how these challenges may impact voters when they cast their ballots in the election this year.”

According to Conzelman, yesterday’s meeting was attended by a crowd of over 80 people and was the 34th event The Ripon Society has held so far in 2022. He added that The Ripon Society will host another discussion next week with the General Counsel for House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, Machalagh Carr, which will focus on the prospective agenda for Republicans if they hold a majority in the House next year.
