Leora Levy Responds to 8.2% September

Inflation Report 

GREENWICH, CT - Today, the Consumer Price Index report revealed inflation rose by 8.2%. That is a much higher rate than anticipated, with the price of food rising 0.8% from last month. Core inflation rose to a 40-year high in September causing markets to plunge this morning in response. This report comes as the Fed is expected to raise interest rates again in the coming months.

Responding to Biden and Blumenthal’s failed economy, political outsider and U.S. Senate candidate Leora Levy issued the following statement. 

“The Consumer Price Index is a direct measure of Biden and Blumenthal’s incompetent leadership. Ignoring every warning, they foolishly spent trillions of dollars on partisan policies, and the American People are now paying the price.

“Out-of-touch politicians have made life unaffordable for all of us, and families are hurting as prices continue to rise. Connecticut cannot afford six more years of Blumenthal. I am running for US Senate to fight for Connecticut families and make life affordable again.”
