John, you can’t lead a state you don’t know. And it’s extremely clear that Republican Ashley Kalus doesn’t know Rhode Island.

We’ve confirmed she can’t pronounce Pawtucket, but she probably doesn’t know the name of the big blue bug, where Benny’s used to be, or not to drink Del’s through a straw.

Even worse? Anti-Choice Ashley doesn’t trust Rhode Island women to make our own reproductive decisions, she wants to follow the lead of Florida’s extreme right-wing Governor Ron DeSantis, and she refuses to tell voters whether she’d support Donald Trump again in 2024 or ban books from our kids’ schools.

Ashley Kalus was born in California, cast her 2020 vote from her multi-million dollar house in Florida, and then last year, she received a full-time-residents-only tax break on another house she owns in Illinois. Now, she’s running for Governor in our state, claiming to live in her Newport vacation house.

Here’s the truth: The first vote Ashley Kalus ever cast in our state was for herself. She registered to vote here and declared her candidacy right after her company’s state contract didn’t get renewed.

As a lifelong Rhode Islander, it’s clear to me: We deserve better than out-of-state, out-of-touch, anti-choice Ashley Kalus. We can’t let her buy her way into our State House. Please donate now to help re-elect Governor McKee and send Ashley packing to one of her other three properties.
