It’s time to put the health of people over profits
John,
Our health care system is broken.
During the birth of my son, I had to have an emergency C-section. In the weeks that followed, as I recovered and healed, all I wanted to do was spend time with my baby. Instead, I was forced to spend hours and hours on the phone with my insurance company, trying to figure out whether or not they would cover all the costs related to the procedure.
I know that my story is not unique. From parents struggling to cover the cost of their child’s inhaler, to seniors being forced to spend their hard-earned Social Security dollars on life-saving prescription drugs, our for-profit health care system is failing Vermonters.
In Congress, I will fight to transition our country to a single-payer, Medicare for All system that guarantees coverage for every American and puts the health of people over private insurance company profits. But with less than four weeks until Election Day, I need your help to deliver Medicare for All. Chip in $5 to send me to Congress so we can get this done. [[link removed]]

While Vermont lawmakers have managed to slow increases in health insurance costs through critical reforms, much of what affects these costs is decided at the federal level. We need to make sure that Vermont’s next member of Congress is ready to champion Medicare for All, and build a health care system that works for all of us.
Battling with insurance companies, high co-pays, and ridiculous out-of-pocket costs do nothing to keep us healthy. It’s time to send lawmakers to Congress who have the courage to take on the status quo and fight to win Medicare for All – including mental health care for all. Will you join us as we fight to get this done? Donate $5 or more to support my campaign today. [[link removed]]
