John,
Last week, President Biden announced he’s pardoning all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession.
This is a major step in our fight to undo the racist, failed War on Drugs.
This failed set of policies led to historical injustices that have disproportionately impacted Black and brown communities for decades. It has destroyed lives, broken families apart, and significantly contributed to mass incarceration.
Biden’s announcement is a step in the right direction, but work is still left to be done. As Co-Chair of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus, I will continue advocating on the frontlines in Congress to deliver meaningful action on cannabis reform, and I could really use your support too.
Will you help me build on this momentum by calling on Congress to federally legalize cannabis and invest in economic opportunities for the Black and brown communities disproportionately impacted by the War on Drugs? [[link removed]]

This issue has become increasingly popular with Americans across the political spectrum, and it’s time that we stop punishing folks for using marijuana recreationally.
In solidarity,
Barbara
