Today's action is part of Evergreen's 100% Clean Power Campaign. Together, we're mobilizing support for policies that will rapidly accelerate a just transition to a clean energy future.

Friend,

Guess how fast the electrical grid in the U.S. has expanded in the last decade? Only about one percent per year.

The Inflation Reduction Act will cut climate pollution and put the U.S. within striking distance of its climate goals. But if we don't pick up the pace of that grid expansion, we'll lose up to 80 percent of that pollution reduction potential.

To put it simply: The clean energy transition won't happen fast enough at the scale we need if we don't hurry up and expand the grid.

Right now, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is accepting public comments about the future of our power grid. We need to tell them that our clean energy future depends on rapid expansion of high-voltage capacity—but we only have until tomorrow.

Sign an official public comment right now and we'll send it directly to FERC—there's too much at risk to sit this one out.

New analysis reveals that we need to expand high-voltage capacity by an average of 2.3 percent per year to fulfill the Inflation Reduction Act's potential.

Here's why: As more solar panels and windmills get built, we need to move that energy from the sunniest and windiest places to everywhere else. Right now, we simply can't.

A lot of people sat back and put their feet up after we passed the Inflation Reduction Act. But folks like you know that these wonky details will make or break our clean energy future. That's why I'm calling on you before FERC's final deadline tomorrow:

We need everyone who gives a FERC about clean energy to send a public comment right now: [link removed]
