As you know, the Biden Administration has corrupted the Department of Justice (DOJ) with a two-tiered justice system by treacherously — and shamelessly — advancing their political agenda. After deliberately failing to hold violent, radical pro-abortion activists accountable for attacking crisis pregnancy centers and threatening Supreme Court Justices, the DOJ is now targeting pro-life champions in order to push the Left’s murderous abortion agenda ahead of the midterm elections. Last month, dozens of armed FBI agents raided the home of pro-life advocate Mark Houck, unnecessarily terrifying his wife and children. Americans deserve answers regarding the FBI’s politically motivated raid of Houck’s home — as well as their politically motivated disregard for attacks against pro-life organizations.

In response, I sent a letter to Attorney General Garland demanding answers about the FBI’s aggressive raid of Mark Houck’s home and condemning the DOJ’s blatant bias. The Department’s undeniable double standard is wholly unethical and completely contradicts both the DOJ’s purpose and our nation’s values, which is why I urged AG Garland to swiftly realign the DOJ’s pursuit of justice with our laws, not the Left’s political agenda. Furthermore, Congress must investigate and expose Garland’s pattern of perverse justice before it sows further division and ignites more lawlessness in our nation. Rest assured, I remain committed to holding President Biden, Attorney General Garland, and FBI Director Wray accountable for dangerously weaponizing and politicizing government agencies against Americans with differing political views. 

Before leaving Washington last month, I proudly participated in a congressional forum, hosted by FreedomWorks and my friend, Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ), dedicated to discussing the challenges veterans are facing and the policy solutions that better serve our nation’s heroes. As the son and brother of veterans and as a combat veteran myself, advocating for Northeast Georgian veterans and improving access to quality healthcare have been among my top priorities in Congress. During my time, I blasted the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional COVID-19 vaccine mandate, which has ruined countless military careers and undermined both our nation’s military readiness and morale. Additionally, I condemned President Biden’s bureaucratic red tape that has recklessly chipped away at President Trump’s beneficial reforms and created a VA system that prioritizes retaining patients for profit over providing timely, high-quality care to our veterans. Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity to represent the Ninth District at the dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) new facility in Athens. The USDA’s Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory is well equipped with top-notch resources and staff to properly respond to avian influenza outbreaks, as well as discover and prevent additional poultry-related health problems. I look forward to the incredible advancements this facility will bring to poultry science – ensuring our farmers here in Georgia and across the country are able to provide safe, healthy chickens for decades to come.
