Unwinding the Public Health Emergency: 50 State Tracker

PIF active members Center for Children & Families (CCF) at Georgetown University have put together a comprehensive and interactive resource to help track each state's unwinding plan as we anticipate the public health emergency coming to an end. The tracker contains various resources including specific information about the state's unwinding, communications materials/toolkits for partners, an unwinding FAQ, and more. |

Partner Highlight: Food Research & Access Center |
Thursday, Oct 20 at 3PM ET
PIF Partner FRAC will be jointly facilitating a conversation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to discuss strategies to ensure that all eligible immigrant families, including mixed status families with children, can access SNAP. This webinar will include time for questions and suggestions on how to ensure families understand that SNAP does not count in a public health determination. |

$4 Million HHS Grant for Language Access Initiative |
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently announced a number of steps to improve language access to the community. First, they are relaunching the Language Access Steering Committee, which tasks HHS agencies with reassessing and updating their language access plans to ensure that HHS-administered health and human services programs and activities are accessible to people of various language backgrounds. Second, HHS announced over $4 million in grants to 11 organizations to address issues regarding the availability of in-language resources in health-related settings. PIF applauds HHS' efforts to expand language access and hopes to see these efforts expanded.
