Friend,
As we close in on Election Day, I wanted to send you a quick note about a key part of our strategy: MSU students.
A significant part of our strategy has been trying to talk to as many MSU students as we possibly can, and registering them to vote in East Lansing. They weren’t on campus during my last election in 2020, so we’re making sure they have all the information they need to vote on campus this time around.
To help with our registration efforts, we’ve been hosting “dorm storms.” Essentially, this involves our part-time student organizers distributing registration information to the students that live in their *actual* dorm.
Peer-to-peer outreach has been the name of the game here. Because students don’t watch traditional TV in the same way their parents do, they are much less likely to see my television ads. As a result, we’ve found fellow students providing them with information has been a much more effective way to reach this group.
If you want to help us with our student outreach, consider chipping in below. The student organizers I mentioned earlier make $22 an hour, and when all is said and done, a two hour “dorm storm” costs about $150 to execute. So, anything you are willing to contribute helps us get out the word on campus!
