It’s unbelievable that in 2019 politicians are still trying to come between doctors and their patients who need reproductive health care.

My name is Dr. Tracey Wilkinson and I’m a pediatrician in Indiana. I’m also a proud member of Physician’s Board of Directors and a graduate of their Leadership Training Academy.

This work is so important because I’ve seen first-hand how trained physician advocates—using medical evidence and their values around patient-centered care—can work to stop this political interference and expand access to health care.

I’m not an abortion provider, but I still think it’s critical to advocate as a pediatrician. Reproductive healthcare is under attack and crucial for my patients too.

The training and support provided by Physicians has helped me and my colleagues feel prepared talking to the media or lawmakers about a serious issue such as this… our patients’ lives and their families are literally on the line.
