Dear Neighbor,
Since my first day in Congress, it’s been my mission to make high-quality health care affordable and accessible for all Americans.
The average individual deductible last year was $2,004. That’s an expensive, out-of-pocket cost that I know is hard to justify for preventative medical care. But skipping those visits to the doctor can lead to health complications and higher costs down the road.
For everyone, but especially our kids, that’s unacceptable.
Congresswoman Kim Schrier (WA-08) and I introduced the Helping Families Access Pediatric Care Act to make sure that no child has to forgo a doctor’s visit because their parents are unable to afford a high deductible.
Together, Congresswoman Schrier and I are ensuring every child receives the health care they need.
Sincerely,
|
