Next month's midterm elections must be a referendum on the GOP's efforts to control our bodies, our lives, and our futures. Full stop.

We will not allow candidates who support a federal abortion ban to hide their true colors and trick voters into forgetting about their violent extremism. And we will remind the MAGA radicals who control the Republican Party that their misogynist, bigoted views belong in the trash heap of history.

In the roughly 100 days since the Trump-packed U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, at least 66 clinics across 15 states have been forced to stop offering abortions.¹

There are now zero health care providers offering abortions in 14 of those 15 states.²

Zero.

No abortion providers when a girl is raped. No abortion providers when a woman is the victim of domestic violence. No abortion providers when there's a heart-wrenching fetal abnormality. And no abortion providers when the person who is pregnant doesn't want to be or cannot be pregnant.

It's devastating, John. But we need to be clear-eyed that it may get a lot worse—and very quickly.

Senator Lindsey Graham has already proposed a national abortion ban in the Senate, and House Republicans are chomping at the bit to pass an abortion ban in the House—if they take over Congress in the midterm elections just 26 days from now.^3,4

And, in a terrifying development, the polls show Republicans gaining ground and now ahead in key races that will determine control of the House and Senate.⁵

We can't lose hope. If we all come together to get our friends, families, and communities to the polls, we will succeed in stopping these forced-birth extremists from controlling even more of our government.
