I’m going to be blunt because I have to be: Our Democratic House Majority is the best line of defense we have against Donald Trump and his reckless, dangerous conduct.

The facts are uncontested -- Donald Trump abused the power of his office for his own personal political benefit, at the expense of our national security and the integrity of our elections. His actions are a profound violation of the public trust, and strike at the very heart of our democracy.

And on top of abdicating their responsibility to address issues like the gun violence epidemic and the climate crisis, Republicans in the House and the Senate have abandoned their oath to support and defend the Constitution and have done nothing to check Trump’s corruption.

If we lose our House Majority, we lose our best and one of our last lines of defense against Trump. That’s why I am humbly asking if you will donate toward Sean Casten ahead of the largest FEC fundraising deadline of his campaign to date.

Our historic House Majority was hard-fought and hard-won.

The only reason candidates like Sean won in historically Republican districts is because supporters like you rose to the occasion. When the polls had him down you stood by him -- and when GOP dark money groups spent millions attacking him you got off the sidelines and helped him fight back.

I’m asking you to do the same thing now. Sean has a right-wing challenger backed by ultra-conservative Super PACs, and outside GOP groups named defeating Sean as a top priority of theirs.

Help me help Sean: Make a donation ahead of his FEC end-of-year fundraising deadline to ensure he can stay ahead of his opponent in this battleground district.
