​​In just a minute, I’m going to ask if you can pitch in $10 to help support our campaign in the final four weeks before Election Day. But first, I want to tell you a little more about our race — and why your support is so important, especially right now.

​​I’m running for reelection here in Illinois’ 14th Congressional district. Here’s what our district looks like:

I’ve represented IL-14 in Congress for almost four years now, and every day, I’ve worked to make life better for all who live here — and I mean everybody, not just those who voted for me, not just those who share values.

Over the last four years, I’ve hosted 40 town halls and have had countless conversations with folks across the 14th about the issues that matter most. I’ve taken each of those conversations back with me to Congress and fought my heart out to turn them into action. And we’ve done just that.

Since I was first elected in 2018, I’m proud to share that I’ve had 10 pieces of legislation signed into law — lowering costs for working families, making quality health care more affordable, and bringing funds back to our district to invest in our community. And John, I’m not finished yet.

But this year, our campaign is facing a unique challenge. Following our state’s redistricting process, 70% of IL-14 is brand new territory, which means that tens of thousands of voters in our district will be seeing my name on their ballots for the first time in this election. That poses a pretty significant hurdle for our campaign.

That’s why it’s so important that we keep our ads on the air, continue to knock on doors, and yes, even put up yard signs so we can reach these folks where they are and spread our campaign’s positive message in the final weeks before Election Day. But this work takes a lot of resources, which is why I’m turning to you right now.
