An important update from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

On Wednesday, CREW said that Congress must begin an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump’s conduct and released a report outlining the case for a Trump impeachment inquiry. Thousands of you have joined us and emailed your representatives to ask them to begin that process. And if you missed it, I also explained the need for an impeachment inquiry in an op-ed in the New York Times.

CREW has been working on the issues that now make an impeachment inquiry essential since the start of the Trump administration. We’ve been raising the alarm about President Trump’s misuse of public office for private gain since before the Trump presidency even began, and we’ve authored multiple reports on the president’s apparent obstruction of justice and his potential campaign finance crimes. We’ve taken legal action, filed complaints, written reports, testified before Congress, and more.

We came to this latest decision reluctantly, but in the face of so much evidence, and in light of President Trump’s stonewalling of oversight and avoidance of accountability, we concluded that we have exhausted other options and that Congress must begin an impeachment inquiry.

Join CREW and speak out: email your member of Congress now and ask them to call for an impeachment inquiry.
