John: I'll be honest: you're going to get a few fundraising emails from us over the next couple days. The end of the year is our biggest chance to raise money for our critical efforts to support LGBTQ candidates and elected officials. And right now, we're trying to raise $20,000 to support our domestic and international candidate trainings. Will you chip in today to help us hit our End of Year goal? Now, I could tell you about the importance of LGBTQ representation in elected office. But I thought we'd let a past trainee - who now holds public office! - speak for himself: Daniel chose to serve after experiencing a deeply personal political tragedy. As an intern for Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Daniel was present during the attempt on Congresswoman Gifford's life and is credited with taking the direct action needed to save her. He served five years on the Sunnyside District School Board, protecting the rights of LGBTQ students and has served in the Arizona State House since 2016, where is he a staunch advocate for LGBTQ equality. We want to train and support more LGBTQ candidates like Daniel but we need your help! Help us hit our End of Year goal and raise $20,000 for our candidate and campaign trainings! Thanks again for your support - Elliot Imse Senior Director of Communications, LGBTQ Victory Institute |
